Rules

Playing on ArtemisPvP means agreeing to everything below. The list is general on purpose - staff can act on anything that clearly belongs here even when no line names it, and repeat offences earn heavier punishments.

Chat & Voice

  • Keep chat livable
Trash talk is factions. Targeted harassment is not.
Ribbing your rivals is part of the game. Singling somebody out, piling on them repeatedly, obscene abuse, or hounding a player across channels crosses the line. Voice offences are punished harder than text ones.
  • No spam or filter dodging
No flooding, no organised spam waves, no sneaking around the chat filter.
That includes rallying a group to paste the same thing, counting in chat, and creative spelling to slip past the filter. Finding a way around the filter IS the offence.
  • No threats - ever
Real-life threats and encouraging self-harm end your time here.
Wrapping it in a joke, a hypothetical, or the words in-Minecraft changes nothing. Threatening violence or menacing someone with their own private details is the most serious chat offence on the server.
  • No discrimination
Attacks on race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, religion, or disability are banned outright.
This covers language, names, skins, faction tags, and targeting a player because of who they are. There is no context where it is fine.
  • No advertising or phishing
Other servers, third-party links, and account fishing do not belong here.
Promoting another network, dropping outside links or Discords, and any attempt to trick players out of accounts or personal details - in game or on our Discord - are all bannable.
  • Personal information is off limits
Posting or hunting for anyone's private information is a permanent problem.
Sharing it, prying for it, threatening to leak it, and DDoS talk are all treated as an attack on the player, not banter.

Gameplay

  • No unfair advantages
Cheats, exploits and stat-boosting tricks are bans without a warning first.
Abusing any bug however well known, glitching into bases, pearl glitches, boosting stats with alts, and teaming with cheaters all count. Locating players via cave-finding tricks, shader reloads, F3+A, or lava-transparency packs is banned; ore-outline and fullbright packs are fine.
  • Play the map straight
Block-glitching, TP traps, /pvp traps and gen-bucket traps are all prohibited.
Trapping itself is legal (obsidian boxes, derps) so long as the head is not suffocating. Reaching places players cannot normally get to, freezing your client for an edge, cross-server trading, and selling in-game things for real money are not.
  • No scamming
Scams are banned in every form, full stop.
Renaming items to pass them off as something else, fake warps, rigged deals - all of it. Keep evidence of your trades; reports without proof cannot be acted on.
  • No cross-teaming
Working with factions you are not allied to, for an edge, is prohibited.
Joint fights, shared defence, synchronised raids, split loot, or a quiet long-running non-aggression pact - if two unallied factions cooperate and it changes outcomes, it is cross-teaming. Rulings need clear in-game evidence.
  • Own your account
You answer for everything done on your account. Never share it.
Inappropriate names or skins, abusing server commands, buying or selling accounts, charging back payments, impersonating players or staff, and appealing for someone else are all offences under your name.
  • Screenshares happen
If staff ask to screenshare you, refusing or tampering counts against you.
Logging out, wiping files, or killing processes while frozen is treated the same as being caught. Recording the screenshare is not allowed either.

Mods & Clients

  • Allowed
Performance mods, fullbright, cosmetic HUDs, shaders, and recording mods.
OptiFine and friends, brightness tweaks, HUD mods that only show what you could already know (effects, armour, coordinates), and replay-style recorders are all fine. Approved clients are allowed; auto-clickers must stay at or under 10 CPS.
  • Banned
X-ray, movement mods, automation, and anything a hacked client does.
Anything extending vanilla limits (reach, speed, fly), anything automating play (aim assist, auto-mine, auto-fish, pathing), transparency packs, mini-maps that show entities, enemy-status HUDs, and macro hardware. A mod not clearly on the allowed list is run at your own risk.

Bases

  • Size and spacing
Bases up to 15x15 chunks, up to 23 chunks of buffer, 15 chunks between buffers.
The buffer is every base claim beyond your base-size upgrade. Leave at least 15 chunks before the next faction's buffer begins, and keep outside claims 125+ chunks from home unless they are live anti-raid claims or B-claims. Your core chunk belongs at the centre of the base, never in the buffer.
  • Defence limits
Defences live in the buffer - not inside the base, and not made of forbidden blocks.
Obsidian defences are banned outside the listed exceptions (outer shell, player boxes, y2 and below, regen bars, patching mid-raid). Unbreakable or special blocks - chests, anvils, soul sand, cobwebs, custom blocks - never belong in walls. One regenerating defence per trap, and no encasing spawners or custom blocks.
  • Insiding
What you contribute to a faction becomes the faction's - taking it back is insiding.
Once value hits the faction pool it belongs to leadership. Emptying boxes you were not given, mining holes in the cap, and unclaiming land without leader permission are all punishable.
  • No point games
Farming faction points in any arranged way is prohibited.
Alt factions built to be raided, letting a base fall on purpose, raiding your own or a fresh ally's core, and any understanding between factions that manufactures points - all banned.
  • Checkboxes
One checkbox per faction, within 10 chunks of your shell - and no AFKing in it.
Check your walls and leave. Raid detectors of any kind are banned outright.

Cannoning

  • Cannon limits
No autocannons, no TNT arrays, one wall per button press, one cannon firing at a time.
Stay with a cannon while it fires - unattended cannons misfire. Push left-rights are banned; plain left-right shooting is fine, and double-tapping plus tunnelling are the recognised exceptions to one-wall-per-press. Give it 15 seconds when switching cannons mid-raid.
  • Boxes and patching
Cannon boxes: raid claims only, flat non-regen walls, up to 9x9 claims.
Flight-path and guider claims sit outside that size but can be at most 3 chunks wide. Defend from your own or allied territory - patching in the wild is prohibited.

Staff

  • Held to more, not less
Staff follow every player rule plus their own code of conduct.
Fair enforcement, no favouritism, no using the position for their faction's gain, confidentiality on player data. If you believe staff crossed the line, open a ticket naming them with your evidence - it goes up the chain, not to the person you are reporting.
