Privacy
Last updated 23 October 2026. This page covers the ArtemisPvP website (artemispvp.com, and gsopvp.net, which shows the same site).
The short version: the site counts visits itself, without any third-party analytics or advertising scripts. It never stores your IP address or browser string for that count. If you make an account it keeps what you typed in and, if you link it, your Minecraft identity.
When you visit a page
One record per page you open (a refresh within 30 minutes is the same visit). Each record holds:
- the page address, without anything after a "?";
- the site you came from - its name only (for example google.com), never the full link;
- a visitor code: a one-way scramble of your IP address, your browser string and a value that changes every day. It lets the site count unique visitors for one day and cannot be turned back into your IP. Your IP address and browser string themselves are not stored;
- device type (desktop, mobile or tablet), browser family, operating system family, the screen width the page reported, your browser's first language, and on artemispvp.com the two-letter country code Cloudflare attaches to the request;
- how long the page stayed open (capped at 6 hours).
It also notes a few actions, with the same visitor code: copying the server IP, opening the Discord invite, clicking a vote site or a link to another site (that site's name only), a file of ours failing to load, and the words typed into the wiki search (letters, digits and spaces only, 40 characters at most). Search engines and other bots are not counted.
If you make an account
- Your username, email address, the date you joined, and your password - stored only as a one-way hash, never as the password itself.
- If you tick "remember me" when you log in: a sign-in token that lasts 30 days. Only a hash of it is kept on the site.
- If you ask for a password reset: a one-time reset token (kept as a hash) and an email sent to your address.
- If you play the daily puzzle and claim a reward: the day, the game, the reward code and your linked Minecraft name.
If you link your Minecraft account
You run /link in game. The site then keeps your Minecraft name, whether you play Java or Bedrock, your account id on that platform (Java UUID or Xbox id), your skin texture id so your profile can show the right character, and the in-game title you have equipped, which the server sends to the site.
If you open a ticket or an appeal
The ticket keeps your in-game name, your email address, the subject and message you wrote, your account if you were logged in, and your IP address. The IP is used to limit how many tickets one address can open in an hour.
Abuse protection
A failed login or a password-reset request records the IP address and the time, so repeated attempts can be slowed down. These records are deleted after one day.
Cookies and browser storage
- artemis_sess - a session cookie set by the site's own server code (the visit counter included). It is what keeps you logged in if you log in, and it ends when you close the browser.
- artemis_remember - the 30-day "remember me" sign-in, only if you ticked it.
- A staff-only cookie that stops the owner's own visits being counted as traffic. It is only ever set on the owner's browser.
The site also keeps a few settings in your own browser (local storage) that never leave it unless you are logged in: your language choice, display preferences, which vote sites you used and when, and your daily puzzle progress. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Other services involved
- Cloudflare delivers artemispvp.com and protects it from attacks, so it handles every request to that address.
- Google Fonts serves the Montserrat font the site uses, so your browser asks Google for it.
- Brevo sends password-reset emails, so it receives the email address the reset goes to.
- visage.surgeplay.com can draw the 3D skin on a linked Java profile from your Minecraft name.
- Discord, the vote sites and any other site you click through to have their own privacy rules once you are there.
Children
If you are under 13, ask a parent or guardian before you make an account, link your Minecraft account or open a ticket. A parent or guardian with a question about a child's data can reach us through the Contact page.
Questions about your data
Open a ticket on the Support page, email [email protected], or ask on Discord. All routes are on the Contact page.
