Spawners on a factions server
On a factions server spawners are money, points and raid fuel at once. On ArtemisPvP at play.artemispvp.com they only work inside your faction's claim, stack up to 10 in one block, count toward your faction's wealth and Faction Points, and can drop custom TNT and creeper eggs.
The rules
| Where | Only inside your faction's claim; they stop if the chunk becomes unclaimed or broken |
|---|---|
| When they run | While a player is within 64 blocks of the spawner |
| Stacking | Up to 10 of the same spawner in one block |
| Picking up | Free for the first 60 minutes after placing; after that, mining costs the amount on the spawner |
| Building up | A new spawner's faction wealth and faction points build up over 5 days |
| Mob stacking | Mobs from spawners merge into one stacked mob per chunk |
Why spawners matter to a faction
Every spawner has a faction wealth value and a faction point value, and once it has built up it counts toward the faction leaderboard. That is why raids so often aim at spawner rooms: breaking into a base and mining its spawners costs the defenders money and rank at once. The spawners page lists every spawner with its rarity, wealth, points and mining cost.
The build-up over 5 days also means that dropping spawners just before a leaderboard update does not count in full.
Spawners and raiding
Custom TNT and custom creepers come from spawners. Each custom TNT has a 25% chance per spawner, except Lucky TNT at 50%; each custom creeper has a 25% chance per spawner, except the Lucky Creeper at 50% and the Raid Creeper at 100%. More on what they do on the raiding and cannoning page.
Getting spawners
Silk-touch a natural blaze spawner in a Nether fortress and it comes up as 5 spawners. Others come from rewards and trading - check the auction house - and the spawners page says where each one can be found.
Protecting a spawner room
- Build it deep inside your claim, next to your base, so the land never expires.
- Remember the shield: it stops explosions in your land 16 hours a day; the rest of the day your walls do the work.
- Stack before you spread: 10 in one block means fewer blocks to protect.
- Do not place and pick up too late - after 60 minutes mining a spawner costs money.
How many spawners can you stack in one block on ArtemisPvP?
Up to 10 of the same spawner.
Do spawners work outside a claim on ArtemisPvP?
No. Spawners only go down inside your faction's claim, and they stop if the chunk is no longer claimed.
Can you pick a spawner back up for free on ArtemisPvP?
For the first 60 minutes after placing it. After that, mining it costs the amount shown on the spawner.
Do spawners count toward Faction Points on ArtemisPvP?
Yes, once they have built up. A new spawner's faction wealth and faction points build up over 5 days.
What happens to mobs from a big spawner farm on ArtemisPvP?
They merge into one stacked mob per chunk, so a big farm stays smooth. Spam-click the stack to kill it.
Can you silk-touch a spawner on ArtemisPvP?
A natural blaze spawner in a Nether fortress, silk-touched, comes up as 5 spawners.
Why raid a spawner room on ArtemisPvP?
Spawners count toward faction wealth and Faction Points, so taking them costs the defenders money and rank.
