Playing a factions server solo
Factions is a team mode, but plenty of players log in alone. On ArtemisPvP at play.artemispvp.com a solo player has a lot to do without a faction behind them: PvE, duels, minigames, envoys and trading. This page covers what works alone, what does not, and how to pick up a team when you want one.
What works alone
- PvE. 51 trial rooms in 6 tiers, boss eggs and the warzone mobs all work for one player.
- Duels. One-on-one fights, ranked or unranked.
- Minigames and Last Man Standing. 7 minigames and Last Man Standing, where the last player alive wins.
- Envoys. Supply drops every 30 minutes that anyone can loot - if they get there first.
- Money. The economy: the shop, the auction house, fishing, quests and Labour Ledgers.
What is hard alone
Holding land is the hard part. One player cannot watch a base around the clock, and raids happen whenever a faction's shield is down. Objectives built for teams - outposts, strongholds and the KOTH hill - are hard to take and harder to hold without people beside you. Dying never costs power on ArtemisPvP, so a lost fight does not cost your land; but a solo base still needs good walls.
A one-player faction
Nothing stops you from making a faction of one. It gets a Core Chunk that never expires and a shield that stops explosions in its land 16 hours a day, the same as a big faction. A small, well-hidden base with your valuables in a vault is the usual solo setup. When you want to grow, a faction holds up to 30 members and 10 alts.
Finding a team when you want one
Most factions recruit in chat and on Discord. Show what you can do: a good duel record, a stack of enchant books, or a cannon you built. Ask what the faction expects - online hours, raid nights, shared chests - before you join. Joining a faction is answered on the factions FAQ, and the team side of the game is on clans and teams.
Can you make a one-player faction on ArtemisPvP?
Yes. A faction of one gets the same Core Chunk and the same shield, which stops explosions in its land 16 hours a day.
Can a solo player win an envoy crate on ArtemisPvP?
Yes. Envoy crates fall across a warzone for a short time and the first player to punch one claims it, alone or not.
Can you do trial rooms alone on ArtemisPvP?
Yes. Trial rooms are played one after another against the clock; clearing them earns Fame, which unlocks harder tiers.
Is a solo base safe on ArtemisPvP?
Safe while its shield is up - the shield stops explosions in your land 16 hours a day. Outside those hours it is only as safe as its walls.
How can a solo player make money on ArtemisPvP?
Quests, Labour Ledgers, fishing, spawners, the auction house and Last Man Standing, which pays out every 1 minute.
Can a solo player hold an outpost on ArtemisPvP?
You can capture one by standing on the point, but a contested point freezes, and dying there is a 5-minute death ban - holding one alone against a faction is hard.
What is the best way to play ArtemisPvP alone?
Mix PvE and the economy: trial rooms, boss eggs, fishing, quests and envoys. Keep a small hidden base and your valuables in a vault.
Can solo players get on a leaderboard on ArtemisPvP?
Yes. Many of the 18 boards are per player: balances, kills, quests, mcMMO, minigames and trials.
