Raiding + cannoning

A raiding and cannoning factions server

Cannoning is one of the things ArtemisPvP is built around: the 1.8.9 block and TNT behaviour is kept intact, factions raid with 4 custom TNT types and 5 custom creeper eggs, and a faction TNT bank holds up to 250,000 TNT. The prize is spawners, custom blocks and the enemy's Core Chunk.

When and where you can raid

  • Raids happen in faction land and the wilderness. Explosions are blocked in the Safezone and the Warzone.
  • A faction's shield stops explosions in its land 16 hours a day - outside those hours its walls can be hit.
  • Land far from a base is a Wild Claim that pays Tax Tim $100,000 every 24 hours; an unpaid one breaks.
  • Dying never costs power or land: every player has a fixed 100 power, so bases fall to cannons, not to deaths.

What you raid with

4 custom TNT types - Gigantic, Lethal, Lucky and Tactical - and 5 custom creeper eggs - Gigantic, Lucky, Tactical, Stun and Raid. None of them work inside a shielded claim. The faction TNT bank holds up to 250,000 TNT and fills your cannon's dispensers straight from it.

How TNT cannons work in general - sand cannons, blast-proof blocks, fuse times - is on the Factions FAQ.

What a raid wins

Spawners, custom blocks and the enemy's Core Chunk - Holding a Core Chunk is worth 25,000 Faction Points. Spawners also count toward faction wealth.

The Raid Outpost

A separate Raid Outpost opens only during its event, announced server-wide. Factions capture it by breaking its beacons - the faction that breaks the last one breaches it. It reopens after 60 minutes, and dying there is a 15-minute death ban.
