Minecraft servers for phones and tablets
Phones and tablets play Minecraft Bedrock Edition - the game that used to be called Pocket Edition. Unlike consoles, mobile Bedrock lets you add a server yourself. ArtemisPvP, a Cosmic PvP-style factions server, takes Java and Bedrock players, so a phone player can fight in the same world as PC players.
Adding a server on a phone
- Open Minecraft and tap Play.
- Open the Servers tab and scroll to Add Server.
- Enter a name, the server address and the port the server gives you.
- Save, then tap the server to join.
For ArtemisPvP's Bedrock details, ask in the ArtemisPvP Discord. The Java address, play.artemispvp.com, is for Java Edition.
Pocket Edition is Bedrock now
Pocket Edition was the old mobile version. It was replaced by Bedrock Edition, which is what phones and tablets run today, and it plays with Bedrock players on every other device. A search for Pocket Edition servers is a search for Bedrock servers. More on the editions in the Bedrock FAQ.
Playing factions on a touchscreen
Factions is a PvP mode, and touch controls take practice. A few things help: turn up the sensitivity slowly, use a controller if your phone supports one, and start with the parts of the server that do not need fast aim - trial rooms, fishing, the economy and envoys, which drop every 30 minutes. Build your faction's base while the shield is up - it stops explosions 16 hours a day.

Can I play ArtemisPvP on my phone?
Yes. Phones play Bedrock, and Java and Bedrock players can both join. Ask in the ArtemisPvP Discord for the Bedrock connection details.
Can a phone player be in a faction with PC players on ArtemisPvP?
Yes. Everyone plays in the same world, so a faction of up to 30 members can mix phones, consoles and PCs.
Does ArtemisPvP work on a tablet?
Tablets run Bedrock Edition like phones, so they join the same way.
Do phone players get the same events on ArtemisPvP?
Yes: an envoy every 30 minutes, KOTH every 6 hours and 14 timed events in all, for every edition.
What is a good first thing to do on ArtemisPvP from a phone?
Start with things that do not need fast aim: envoys, trial rooms, fishing and the economy. Build your base while your faction's shield is up.
Is ArtemisPvP free on mobile?
Joining costs nothing; you need Minecraft on your phone. Cracked (non-premium) accounts cannot join.
