RPG elements on a factions server
ArtemisPvP at play.artemispvp.com is a factions server, not a classic RPG server - but a lot of what RPG players look for is here: skills that level as you play, quests and Labour Ledgers, 4 dungeons, boss fights, trial rooms with tiers, and gear you build up over a season.
Skills
mcMMO skills level up as you play, and higher levels unlock abilities. Some custom enchants even feed into it - the Nimble boots enchant increases mcMMO XP gained in Acrobatics. There is a Top mcMMO Players leaderboard among the 18 boards.
Quests and jobs
Player quests track goals as you play, and a Labour Ledger is a list of jobs: finish every job on it to earn its rewards. Quests have their own leaderboard, Top Quest Players.
Dungeons and bosses
4 dungeons - Abandoned Ship, Destroyed Outpost, Planet Nul and Time Warp - each for a party of up to 4. 6 boss eggs hatch into fights, and world bosses such as the Timeless Dragon arrive as events. The PvE page covers them all.
Progression
- 51 trial rooms in 6 tiers; clearing rooms earns Fame, which unlocks the harder tiers.
- Gear that grows: 207 enchants in 8 rarities, 9 enchant slots per item to start with and Enchantment Orbs for more.
- 11 armor sets with set bonuses, plus masks, pets, 22 charms and 5 socket types.
- 312 titles to collect.
Where it differs from an RPG server
Other players are part of the challenge: factions raid each other, and the warzone is PvP. If you want the RPG side without much PvP, stay with dungeons, trial rooms, quests and the economy, and keep your valuables in a vault. If you want both, a faction gives your progression a reason - the gear you build is what you bring to KOTH.
Do custom enchants affect mcMMO on ArtemisPvP?
Some do. The Nimble boots enchant, for example, increases mcMMO XP gained in Acrobatics while equipped.
