A Minecraft server where events run on a timetable
ArtemisPvP at play.artemispvp.com runs 14 timed events. Most of them repeat on a fixed timer, so you can plan your evening around them: an envoy every 30 minutes, a conquest every 3 hours in the wild, KOTH every 6 hours. This page is the timetable, with a link to each event's own page.
The timetable
| Envoy | Every 30 minutes in the overworld |
|---|---|
| Nether Envoy | Every 1 hour and 30 minutes |
| End Envoy | Every 4 hours |
| Wild Conquest | Every 3 hours |
| Nether and End Conquest | Each every 4 hours |
| KOTH | Every 6 hours; hold the hill 15 minutes |
| Strongholds | Pay Faction Points every 2 hours to the faction holding them |
| Last Man Standing | Pays out every 1 minute: money, XP or an envoy chest |
Fights for loot
Envoys are supply drops: crates land and the players who reach them first open them. Conquests put guarded chests out in the wild, the Nether and the End,. Both pull factions to the same spot at the same time, so loot events are also fights.
Fights for points
KOTH is the headline event. Hold the hill for 15 minutes and the capper takes $1,000,000, while every member on the hill gets a share, and the faction earns 500 Faction Points. Strongholds (2 of them) pay points on their own timer, and outposts are held between events, one per faction at a time.
Bosses and the rest
The Random Warzone Boss and the Timeless Dragon turn up as events, so PvE and PvP meet over one boss. Between the fights there are chat games, the Jackpot, horse racing and the Black Market Auction. The world events page has every event and what it pays.
Why a timetable matters
A server with events at random times rewards whoever happens to be online. A fixed timer lets a faction gather for the event that matters to it, and lets a solo player know when the warzone will be busy and when it will be quiet. Before you pick any PvP server, look for its event schedule; it says a lot about how the server is run.
