A Minecraft server with custom items and gear
On ArtemisPvP at play.artemispvp.com the gear goes far past vanilla diamond: 11 armor sets, 12 set weapons, masks, pets, 22 charms, 5 socket types and 14 kinds of chests, all on top of 207 custom enchants. Everything runs on the server, so a vanilla client sees it with no mods.
Armor sets and set weapons
There are 11 armor sets and 12 set weapons. Each set has a set bonus that only turns on when you wear all four pieces, on top of the enchants on each piece, so choosing a set is a choice of playstyle. The armor sets page lists every set bonus and every weapon.
Masks, pets and charms
- Masks are heads you put on a helmet for passive powers.
- Inventory pets sit in your inventory and give you an ability on a cooldown.
- 22 charms are add-ons you drag onto a weapon, tool or armor piece for an extra power; each is made for one kind of gear.
Sockets and upgrades
5 socket types add accessory slots to armor and weapons: apply a socket, then put an accessory in the slot for extra powers. Enchanting itself works through enchant books, the Enchanter, black scrolls and the rest of the tools on the enchanting guide, and the 207 enchants are split across 8 rarities: Simple, Unique, Elite, Ultimate, Legendary, Soul, Heroic and Mastery.
Where the items come from
- 14 chests, each with a charged version.
- Lootboxes, opened with a right-click, and kits.
- Envoys, bosses, dungeons and trial rooms.
- Other players, through the auction house.
Why server-side items matter
Custom items made with a client mod only work for players who installed that mod. Items made on the server work for everyone who joins - Java and Bedrock alike - and nobody needs to download anything. It also means every item can be documented once, on the wiki, and stay true for every player.
How many armor sets are there on ArtemisPvP?
11 armor sets and 12 set weapons.
Do you need a texture pack to see ArtemisPvP's custom items?
No. The items are made on the server, so a vanilla client shows them with no mods or texture pack.
