Soul Gems and Soul Enchants
Soul enchants are a special tier of custom enchant that costs souls every time it activates. Souls are stored in soul gems. Click a gem to turn on soul mode; while it is on, your soul enchants work and drain souls. Gems stack to combine souls and can be split with a command.
How do soul gems work?
The CosmicPE wiki: a soul gem enables soul enchants and trinkets while in soul mode; click it to turn soul mode on, and keep the gem in your inventory for soul mode to stay active. /splitsouls <amount> splits souls into a new gem, and gems stack to combine their counts.
Where do soul enchants fit?
On CosmicPE, Soul is one of three special tiers next to Heroic and Mastery; soul enchants apply straight away but need enough souls in your gems to fire. Trinkets there also cost souls per use. See custom enchants explained.
How do you manage souls?
- Only turn soul mode on when you need it, since it drains souls.
- Carry spare gems or split one so a single loss does not empty you.
- Know which of your enchants are soul enchants before a fight.
What else uses souls?
On CosmicPE, trinkets also run on souls in soul mode. Its examples include a Soul Pearl that works like an ender pearl but costs 5 souls instead of being used up, and a Soul Anvil that repairs 10% of your worn armour's durability for 100 souls. So souls are a resource you spend in fights, not just a meter for one enchant.
How do soul gems work on ArtemisPvP?
Soul Gems hold the souls that power the 12 Soul enchants. Click a gem to toggle Soul Mode; while it is on, your active Soul enchant drains souls. Stack gems to merge them, and use /splitsouls while holding one to split souls off. The number in the gem's name is its soul count. See soul gems and enchant books.
