Masks on Factions Servers

Masks are special heads you apply to a helmet. They change how your helmet looks and give passive perks, from small damage boosts to utility effects. A helmet holds one mask. Some servers have multi-masks that carry several mask effects at once.

How do masks work?

The CosmicPE wiki describes masks as helmet-only equipment that gives passive effects and a visual override. You drag a mask onto a helmet to apply it, a helmet holds one mask, and a command removes it. There, multi-masks carry up to five mask effects (double, triple, quad and penta), are pre-set rather than custom, and show in your name during combat.

What kinds of perks do masks give?

Examples from the CosmicPE wiki's list include negating pet leashes, staying hidden from /near and anti-silence effects. Each server writes its own masks, so check the list where you play.

How do masks work on ArtemisPvP?

Masks are heads that grant passive powers while worn. Drag one onto a helmet to equip it; it binds to that helmet and works whenever you wear it. Right-click the helmet to take it off, and the mask goes back to your cursor. A helmet holds exactly one mask, and mask powers stack with your enchants and armor set. Masks come from envoys, crates and boss drops. Every mask: masks.

What do ArtemisPvP masks look like?

Each mask on ArtemisPvP has a rarity, a power and a short description. Three Simple masks from the live list: Animal Control (33% Pet Leash Negation), Dungeon (10% chance to not use a /dungeon key) and Purge (+2.5% DMG). Higher rarities have stronger powers; the full list with every mask is on the masks page.

How should you pick a mask?

  • Combat masks for fighting gear, utility masks for grinding or events.
  • Remember the helmet keeps its own enchants; the mask adds on top.
  • Some event zones limit masks; for example, CosmicPE's Trainee and Vanilla outposts ban most masks.
