How to Raid a Factions Base: Step by Step
A factions raid goes: scout the target, check its shield and the server's raid rules, claim land near it for a cannon box, clear its water walls with sand or a hybrid, tunnel through the walls with TNT, then get inside and take or blow up spawners and loot before it can respond.
What are the steps of a raid?
- Scout: wall layers, water, slabs, and any walls built outside claims. Intel.
- Check timing and rules: shields, grace, raid rules, power or DTR. Shields.
- Claim near it: raid claims for a cannon box. Raid claims.
- Build and fill the cannon: dispensers filled from a TNT bank. TNT bank.
- Clear water: sand or a hybrid. Hybrids.
- Breach: tunnel through each layer. Tunnelers.
- Loot: spawners, custom blocks, chests. Spawners.
Are there other ways in?
Yes. minecraft.wiki's PvP guide lists mining walls built in unclaimed land, using open entrances, and burning wooden bases; the FactionsUUID docs describe overclaiming a faction that has more land than power. See infiltration and overclaiming.
What will defenders do?
Repair walls, counter-cannon your box, and fight you at the breach. Some servers limit defenders during a raid: the CosmicPE wiki says its raid sessions give obsidian a warm-up time and disable gen buckets. Keep players guarding the cannon box while others shoot.
What mistakes ruin a raid?
- Firing before scouting: a tunneler built for stone wastes TNT on slabbed water gaps.
- Leaving the cannon box unguarded, so defenders destroy it.
- Ignoring the server's raid rules, such as bans on auto cannons on some servers (CosmicPE forbids them).
- Running out of TNT halfway; fill dispensers from a TNT bank where the server has one.
How does raiding work on ArtemisPvP?
Raid with TNT and creeper eggs; explosions are blocked in the Safezone and Warzone, and do nothing in a shielded claim. Custom TNT and creepers help get spawners: every custom TNT has a 25% chance per spawner, Lucky TNT 50%. The biggest prize is the enemy's Core Chunk. See Factions basics and Custom TNT.
