Faction Top and Faction Points
/f top is the leaderboard of factions. Older servers rank by wealth or land; many modern servers use faction points earned from events, spawners and holding key areas. Points are often tied to the core chunk, so raiding an enemy core can take points from them.
What is /f top?
FactionsUUID includes a basic /f top command. Bigger servers replace it with their own ranking. The CosmicPE wiki, for example, describes a points-based /f top where the top three factions get weekly rewards and a bigger reward at the end of the map.
Where do faction points come from?
On CosmicPE the wiki lists: buying a set amount every 24 hours, spawners and custom blocks (more the longer they have been placed, up to 14 days), bosses, envoys, KOTH, stronghold loot and the Vanilla Outpost, many scaling with map age. Points there are protected by a core chunk and cannot be earned without one.
Can raiders steal points?
On CosmicPE, yes: breaching a faction's core chunk with TNT fired from a raid claim steals a share of its points, from 10% up to 25% depending on how high the breach is, and puts the target on an 8-hour raid cooldown. Stealing spawners and custom blocks also slows the target's points. See raiding explained.
How does /f top work on ArtemisPvP?
ArtemisPvP ranks /f top by Faction Points. The live sources: holding your Core Chunk (25,000), each KOTH capture (500), holding the Frozen Stronghold (363 every 2 hours) or Infernal Stronghold (726 every 2 hours), and unlocking Derp Driveways (50 or 100 once). KOTH and stronghold points fade 2% a day. An enemy who blows up your core takes its points away for an hour. Details: Faction Points and Strongholds.
Does every server rank factions the same way?
Rankings differ by server, so always check what feeds /f top where you play. On CosmicPE, the wiki says stealing spawners and custom blocks in a raid slows the target's point progress, because placed spawners and custom blocks generate points over time. A points system that pays for events and capture zones also lets active factions climb, not only the ones holding the most blocks.
How do factions climb /f top?
- Protect the core chunk above everything else.
- Win timed events like KOTH (KOTH explained).
- Hold capture zones that pay out over time (strongholds).
- Raid rivals' cores when their shields are down.
