Auction Houses on Factions Servers
The auction house (/ah) is a server marketplace: you list an item with /ah sell and a price, and other players buy it without meeting you. Unsold items go to a collection bin. Many servers also run a bid-based auction or a black market auction for rare items.
How does /ah work on a big factions server?
- The CosmicPE wiki: /ah opens all listings; /ah sell <value> lists the item you hold, and k, m or b multiply the price by a thousand, million or billion.
- Listings carry a sales fee and a listing limit that depend on your rank; holding the Infernal stronghold waives the fee there.
- Listings expire after 24 hours and unsold items go to your collection bin.
- Its /ah is fixed-price; bids happen in a separate Black Auction House.
How does the auction house work on ArtemisPvP?
Sell an item for a set price between $10 and $1,000,000; a listing stays up for 2 days. Or put it up for bids, with starting bids from $100 to $1,000,000; an auction lasts 2 days. Unsold or cancelled items wait in your collection for 24 hours before they are deleted, while bought or won items wait until you collect them. Damaged items and written books cannot be listed. Hold an item and type /ah sell <price>; /ah collect picks up your items. You cannot list, bid or collect while combat tagged. Rare items also appear at the Black Market Auction. See auction house and Black Market Auction.
What is a black market auction?
A separate auction where the server itself puts up items for players to bid on. The CosmicPE wiki says its /bah generates common, rare and sometimes otherwise unobtainable items, one to three every 30 minutes depending on the map's age, with bid steps that grow as the price rises. ArtemisPvP has its own Black Market Auction page.
How do you trade well?
- Check recent prices before listing.
- Collect your items before collection timers run out.
- Do not try to sell mid-fight; servers often block it, as combat tags do on ArtemisPvP.
Combat tags: combat tag. Economy: economy.
