An armorer works at a blast furnace and trades armor: it buys coal, iron ingots, lava buckets and diamonds, and sells iron and chainmail armor, bells, shields and, at expert and master level, enchanted diamond armor.

Place a blast furnace near an unemployed villager (not a nitwit) and it takes the job. If you have not traded with it yet, breaking the block resets its trades. See villager professions.

Armorers are the easiest renewable source of chainmail armor (zombies and skeletons can also spawn wearing it and drop it), and a master armorer sells enchanted diamond helmets and chestplates. An iron farm levels them fast. See armor.
