Best Trident Enchantments: Loyalty, Riptide, Channeling
A trident can take Loyalty III (it flies back after you throw it), Riptide III (you launch yourself in water or rain instead of throwing it), Channeling (lightning on hit during a thunderstorm), Impaling V, Unbreaking III and Mending. Riptide cannot go with Loyalty or Channeling, so choose a combat trident or a travel trident.

Which trident build is best?
- Combat: Loyalty III, Channeling, Impaling V, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Travel: Riptide III, Unbreaking III, Mending; combine with elytra in the rain to fly fast; see elytra.
What can Channeling do?
Lightning from a Channeling trident turns villagers into witches, pigs into zombified piglins, creepers into charged creepers (for mob heads) and mooshrooms between red and brown. It needs a thunderstorm and open sky. See mob heads and lightning rods.
Are tridents used in PvP?
