Minecraft /team Command: Teams, Colors and Friendly Fire
/team (Java only) makes teams: /team add red, then /team join red Steve, then /team modify red color red to color their names, and /team modify red friendlyFire false to stop teammates hurting each other. Teams also control name tag visibility, collision and whether teammates see each other when invisible. Bedrock has no /team.
What are the main /team commands?

What can /team modify change?
- color: name color in chat, above heads, in the tab list, on the sidebar and for the Glowing outline.
- friendlyFire: whether teammates can hurt each other (effects still apply).
- seeFriendlyInvisibles: invisible teammates show as see-through.
- nametagVisibility and deathMessageVisibility: who sees name tags and death messages.
- collisionRule: who pushes whom.
- prefix and suffix: text before and after names.
The sidebar.team.<color> display slot shows an objective only to players on a team of that color; see /scoreboard.
What are teams used for?
Minigames such as Capture the Flag, Bed Wars and team PvP: colors, no friendly fire, and hidden enemy name tags. Mobs can join teams too, and team colors decide the Glowing outline color. See Capture the Flag and Bed Wars.
What about Bedrock?
Bedrock has no /team command; servers and add-ons handle teams instead. Other Java-only commands: Bedrock commands.
