Minecraft Statistics: How to See Your Stats
On Java Edition open the pause menu and click Statistics to see your numbers for the current world or server: time played, distance walked, blocks mined, items crafted, mobs killed and more. They are split into General, Items and Mobs tabs. Bedrock has no statistics screen, but your profile shows some stats.
What do the tabs show?
| Tab | Shows |
|---|---|
| General | Things like play time, deaths, jumps, distance by each way of moving and damage dealt |
| Items | For each item: times mined, broken, crafted, used, picked up and dropped |
| Mobs | For each mob: how many you killed and how many times it killed you |
The Items list can be sorted with the buttons at the top.
When does a block count as mined?
Only when you break it with a tool that would normally make it drop, and never in Creative. Broken counts how many tools you wore out; see durability.
Can you use stats in commands?
Yes: scoreboard objectives can track any statistic, written as type:name, for example minecraft.mined:minecraft.stone or minecraft.custom:minecraft.jump. Show them in the sidebar for a mining contest; see /scoreboard.
Where are stats stored?
In each world's folder, one JSON file per player named by UUID; on a server it is in the world folder. See the .minecraft folder. They are per world, so a new world starts at zero.
