Savanna Plateau Biome in Minecraft: Where It Is and What's There
A savanna plateau is a raised savanna with acacia trees, small oaks and tall grass on high, flat ground near mountains. Unlike a normal savanna it has no villages or pillager outposts, but spotted wolves and llamas spawn here.
Where does the savanna plateau generate?
It forms where a savanna sits on top of a plateau or below stony peaks, at fairly high temperature and low humidity. Savannas, stony peaks and forests are common neighbours, and it never generates near windswept savannas or mangrove swamps.

Mobs and structures
Warm farm animal variants spawn here, plus spotted wolves and llamas (llamas do not spawn in regular savannas on Java). The deep dark is common deep below.
How do you find one?
The fastest way to find one in a world with cheats is /locate biome minecraft:savanna_plateau, which works on Java and Bedrock (Bedrock uses its own IDs for some biomes, so let tab-complete fill it in). The F3 screen on Java shows the biome you stand in. The search covers a large area but can miss very narrow strips of a biome.
How biomes are placed
Overworld biomes are placed by a few hidden noise values: temperature, humidity, continentalness (how far inland), erosion (how flat) and weirdness. That is why the same neighbours keep showing up together, and why a biome you want is usually found next to its usual partners. Tip
Acacia planks are bright orange, which makes savanna plateaus a good source of colorful building wood.
