Rabbit's Foot in Minecraft: How to Get It and Uses

A rabbit's foot is a rare rabbit drop that brews potions of Leaping. Rabbits drop it 10% of the time when killed by a player, more with Looting. Foxes and cats can also bring them.

How do you get a rabbit's foot?

Kill rabbits (10%, +3% per Looting level), kill a fox holding one, or get it as a cat morning gift.

What is it used for?

  • Brewing potions of Leaping
  • Taming and healing camel husks
  • Making camel husks follow you
  • Collecting from foxes and cat gifts

More about it

Drop some food near a fox holding a rabbit's foot and it will drop the foot to eat the food. A potion of Leaping lasts 3:00, or 8:00 extended, and Leaping II lasts 1:30.

Tip

A rabbit farm with a Looting sword gives a steady supply.

Items and recipes

Most items stack to 64 in one inventory slot; tools, armor, potions and a few others do not stack at all. The recipe book in your crafting screen shows every recipe you have unlocked, and picking up a new item unlocks the recipes that use it. In Creative mode every item is in the creative inventory, and with cheats on the /give command hands you any item by its ID. Items you drop disappear after 5 minutes on the ground, so pick up rare drops quickly. See crafting and rabbits.

Does ArtemisPvP have custom items?

Yes: ArtemisPvP has custom gear on top of vanilla items; see Gear.
