The Pale Garden in Minecraft: Biome Guide
The pale garden is a rare gray variant of the dark forest, added in The Garden Awakens (1.21.4). It is full of pale oak trees, pale moss, hanging moss and eyeblossoms, and some trees hide a creaking heart that spawns a creaking at night. It usually sits on high ground next to a dark forest, often with lush or dripstone caves below.
Where do pale gardens spawn?
Inland in temperate, very humid areas, almost always next to dark forests and often on plateaus or slopes, so meadows and groves are common neighbors. Use /locate biome minecraft:pale_garden to find one quickly. Related biome: dark forests.
What blocks are in a pale garden?
- Pale oak logs and planks, a whitish-gray wood set.
- Pale moss blocks and pale moss carpets.
- Pale hanging moss under the trees.
- Eyeblossoms, which open at night; they make orange or gray dye.
- Resin from creaking hearts, used for resin bricks.
Pale oak trees are thick like dark oaks, so their saplings must be planted in a square of four to grow.
What is the creaking?
A tree-like mob that only moves when no player is looking at it. It cannot be killed directly: break its creaking heart, hidden inside a pale oak log, to destroy it. See the creaking.
Why visit a pale garden?
For pale oak wood, a gray building palette, eyeblossoms, resin and a spooky atmosphere. With Vibrant Visuals it also gets a thick gray fog. The update that added it: The Garden Awakens.
