Official Minecraft Minigames
Mojang's own minigames are the Legacy Console Edition mini games (Battle, Tumble and Glide), the Capture the Flag event server on Bedrock, and the games in the official book Minecraft: Guide to PVP Minigames. Most server minigames, like Bed Wars, are community-made.
What were the console mini games?

They are exclusive to Legacy Console Edition and could be played solo, in split screen, online or over local wireless on some consoles. Online play stopped working on the Wii U Edition when its online services ended in April 2024. A fourth game, Build Off (a Build Battle-style contest), was hinted at MINECON 2016 but most likely cancelled.
What was the mini game lobby?
Players waited in a small town on a superflat world, in Adventure mode and immune to damage, with redstone puzzles, music discs, armour sets and mob heads to collect. With other players, the next game started within a minute.
What is in Minecraft: Guide to PVP Minigames?
The official guidebook by Stephanie Milton and Craig Jelley explains how to build and play PvP minigames with friends:
- Mob Waves (fight off waves of mobs), plus Arrow Golf and Hoop Shoot (bow games).
- Elytra Ace, an elytra race with mid-air PvP.
- Wool Race: shear as many sheep as possible in a set time.
- Skywars, a Spleef Tournament and Capture the Flag.
- Gladiator Combat and Battle Parkour.
- A character class system with six example kits, plus command block tips.
