Nausea Effect in Minecraft: Causes and Cures
Nausea warps and wobbles your vision like standing in a Nether portal. Its level makes no difference. You get it mainly from eating a pufferfish or a suspicious stew made with a closed eyeblossom. The Distortion Effects setting can turn the wobble down or replace it with a green tint.

What does Nausea do?
It only changes what you see; it does not slow you or hurt you. Mobs that change form, such as a cured zombie villager or a piglin turning into a zombified piglin, also show it briefly. See pufferfish.
How do you remove or counter it?
Drink milk to end it at once. If it makes you feel sick, lower Distortion Effects in the accessibility or video settings. Most effects show an icon in your inventory and at the top right of the screen, with the time left; the /effect command can give or clear any of them.

Nausea is mainly a visual effect, so experienced players can still fight or mine through it, though aiming is harder. Foxes that eat pufferfish get it too. In Minecraft Education, a tonic also removes it. The wobble fades in and out at the start and end, so it never starts or stops all at once.
Status effects come from potions, food, beacons, conduits, mobs and blocks. Each has a level and a timer, and most can be cleared by drinking milk; beacon and conduit effects keep refreshing while you stay in range, so they never run out there.
