Magma Cream in Minecraft: How to Get It and Uses
Magma cream drops from magma cubes or is crafted from blaze powder and a slimeball. It brews potions of Fire Resistance and crafts magma blocks.
How do you get a magma cream?
Kill magma cubes in the Nether (basalt deltas are full of them), or craft 1 blaze powder with 1 slimeball.
What is it used for?
- Brewing potions of Fire Resistance
- Crafting magma blocks
- Magma blocks for bubble columns
- Froglight farms use magma cubes
More about it
Four magma cream make one magma block, which hurts mobs standing on it and pulls bubble columns down in water. A potion of Fire Resistance lasts 3:00, or 8:00 extended, and makes you immune to fire and lava damage.
Tip
Fire Resistance is the best potion for the Nether; keep magma cream stocked.
Items and recipes
Most items stack to 64 in one inventory slot; tools, armor, potions and a few others do not stack at all. The recipe book in your crafting screen shows every recipe you have unlocked, and picking up a new item unlocks the recipes that use it. In Creative mode every item is in the creative inventory, and with cheats on the /give command hands you any item by its ID. Items you drop disappear after 5 minutes on the ground, so pick up rare drops quickly. See crafting and magma cubes.
