Mace Enchantments: Density vs Breach vs Wind Burst
The mace has three enchantments of its own. Density (max V) adds 0.5 damage per block fallen per level to smash attacks; Breach (max IV) makes the target's armour 15 percentage points less effective per level; Wind Burst (max III) launches you back up after a smash so you can chain hits. Density and Breach cannot go on the same mace.

The bonus only applies to smash attacks, so it grows with how far you fall before the hit. It is the pick for players who drop onto targets from height.
When is Breach better?
Breach works on every melee hit, not just smashes, and matters most against heavily armoured targets: minecraft.wiki's example is armour that blocks 50% of damage blocking only 35% against Breach I. It also cuts through the natural armour some mobs have. Against unarmoured targets it adds nothing, so choose Density for big falls and Breach for armoured opponents. See armour and protection.
How do you get and use Wind Burst?
Wind Burst I books come only from ominous vaults in trial chambers, with a 5.5% chance per vault. A smash attack needs a fall of more than 1.5 blocks, so jump off a block or use a wind charge to start a chain. Wind Burst does not cancel fall damage, and on Java Blast Protection weakens the launch. See trial chambers.
Where do Density and Breach come from?
Both can be rolled on an enchanting table and appear as enchanted books from fishing, ominous vaults and other loot chests; until the Villager Trade Rebalance, librarians of any level could trade them. See the mace for how to craft it.
