Loyalty Enchantment in Minecraft: What It Does

Loyalty makes a thrown trident fly back to you after it hits something, so you never lose it. Higher levels return it faster. It cannot be combined with Riptide, and it works with Channeling for lightning strikes in storms.

What does Loyalty do?

Thrown into the void, a Loyalty trident comes back on Bedrock but is lost on Java. It is the usual choice for using a trident as a ranged weapon. More: the trident.

More about Loyalty

Only the player who threw it can pick it up when it returns, so it is safe to throw in multiplayer, even in a crowd. Loyalty is the usual choice for using a trident as a ranged weapon against drowned and other mobs.

Enchanting tables use lapis lazuli and experience levels, anvils combine books and gear, and librarians sell books. Treasure enchantments only come from loot, trading and fishing, never the table, and higher levels cost more experience to apply and repair.

Tips for Loyalty

Loyalty III, Channeling, Impaling V and Mending make the all-round combat trident. Every enchantment: every enchantment.

Does ArtemisPvP have custom enchants too?

Yes: on top of vanilla ones, ArtemisPvP has 207 custom enchants in 8 rarities; see Enchanting.
