Infinity Enchantment in Minecraft: What It Does
Infinity lets a bow fire endless normal arrows as long as you have one arrow in your inventory. Tipped and spectral arrows are still used up. It cannot be combined with Mending, so players choose between never needing arrows and never needing repairs.
Infinity at a glance
| Max level | I |
| Goes on | Bows |
| Cannot combine with | Mending. |
| Where to get it | Enchanting tables, librarians and loot. |
Get enchantments from an enchanting table with bookshelves, from enchanted books on an anvil, from librarian villagers, or as loot; see enchanting and anvils.
What does Infinity do?
Arrows shot with Infinity cannot be picked up, so you cannot farm them. More: arrows.
More about Infinity
You only need one normal arrow in your inventory, and that arrow is never used up. Infinity does not go on crossbows, and in Creative you never use arrows anyway, so it only matters in Survival and Adventure. It is the easiest way to practice archery or fight skeletons without carrying stacks of arrows.
Enchanting tables use lapis lazuli and experience levels, anvils combine books and gear, and librarians sell books. Treasure enchantments only come from loot, trading and fishing, never the table, and higher levels cost more experience to apply and repair.
Tips for Infinity
Keep one Infinity bow for everyday mob fights and a Mending crossbow or bow for special arrows. Every enchantment: every enchantment.
Does ArtemisPvP have custom enchants too?
