Factions
Factions is a survival PvP mode where players form teams called factions, claim land, build bases and fight or raid other factions. ArtemisPvP is a Factions server.
What is Factions in Minecraft?
minecraft.wiki describes faction servers as close to Survival, except that players form organised groups that play together as a team, called factions. Factions claim land, build bases and farm mobs or items, and many compete with other factions through faction wars, base raids, PvP and alliances or rivalries.
Where a minigame lasts a few minutes, a Factions world lasts a whole map season. Your base, your gear and your faction's standing carry over from day to day, which makes every raid and every fight matter more.
How do you play Factions?
- Join or create a faction and invite friends.
- Claim land so other players cannot build or break blocks there.
- Build a base that is hard to raid: thick walls, hidden storage, defences.
- Grind money and gear: farms, mob grinding, events and the economy.
- Raid other factions and defend your own; alliances and truces change who you fight.
