The F3 Debug Screen and Every F3 Shortcut

Press F3 on Java Edition to open the debug screen, which shows your coordinates, frame rate, the block you are looking at and more. Hold F3 and press another key for shortcuts: F3 + B shows hitboxes, F3 + G shows chunk borders, F3 + H shows advanced tooltips and F3 + T reloads resource packs.

What does the F3 screen show?

The debug screen has 28 text elements and six graphs (profiler, frame rate, tick rate, bandwidth, ping and lightmap). Its lines include your exact position (XYZ), the block your feet are in, the chunk you are in, which way you are facing, the light level and the current biome. Press F3 + F6 to choose which elements show, or set some to show all the time even with the overlay closed. Servers can hide part of it with the game rule reduced_debug_info.

Which F3 shortcuts help in PvP and building?

F3 + B draws hitboxes around players and mobs. F3 + G outlines chunks, which helps when building around slime chunks and farms. F3 + H shows durability as numbers so armour never breaks by surprise. See coordinates for reading the XYZ lines.

Does F3 lower your FPS?

A little: minecraft.wiki notes the debug screen adds load, so your frame rate can rise as soon as you close it. Bedrock Edition has no F3 screen; it shows coordinates with the Show Coordinates setting instead. See how to improve FPS.

Which versions can join ArtemisPvP?

ArtemisPvP accepts Java clients from 1.8.9 up to 26.2; see How to join.
