How to Build and Activate a Conduit
Craft a conduit from a heart of the sea and nautilus shells, place it in the middle of a 3x3x3 block of water, and frame it with at least 16 prismarine blocks. It gives Conduit Power (underwater breathing, night vision and faster mining) to players in water or rain, up to 96 blocks away with a full 42-block frame.
How do you get a conduit?
Craft it from a heart of the sea surrounded by nautilus shells. The heart of the sea comes only from buried treasure chests, found with the buried treasure maps in ocean ruins and shipwrecks. A conduit always drops when broken, even by an explosion.
How do you activate a conduit?
Put the conduit in the centre of a 3x3x3 volume of water (source, flowing or waterlogged blocks, with the conduit waterlogged too). Around it, build a frame from three 5x5 open squares centred on the conduit, one around each axis, using prismarine, prismarine bricks, dark prismarine or sea lanterns. It needs at least 16 frame blocks to switch on.
How far does a conduit reach?
| Frame blocks | Range |
|---|---|
| 16 | 32 blocks |
| 21 | 48 blocks |
| 28 | 64 blocks |
| 35 | 80 blocks |
| 42 (full) | 96 blocks |
The range grows 16 blocks for every 7 frame blocks. A full frame also opens the conduit's orange eye and attacks one hostile mob within 8 blocks at a time for 4 HP every 2 seconds, as long as it is in water or rain.
What does Conduit Power do?
It works like Water Breathing, Night Vision and Haste together, but does not stack with them, and only for players touching water or rain. It makes an underwater base or a monument raid much easier. A conduit also gives off light level 15, lit or not. See status effects.
Does ArtemisPvP have an underwater warzone?
