Bundles of Bravery (1.21.2)
1.21.2, Bundles of Bravery, is the Java Edition game drop released on 22 October 2024. It finally takes bundles out of experimental, adds baby squid, dolphins and glow squid, and changes ender pearls, nether portals and more.
How do bundles work?
A bundle holds a mixed stack of up to 64 items in one inventory slot. It is crafted from one string and one piece of leather and can be dyed in 16 colours; once dyed, the colour cannot be removed. In 1.21.2 bundles stopped being experimental and got new textures, sounds and a new menu. Used from the hotbar, a bundle now drops one group of items at a time instead of everything at once.
What changed for ender pearls?
Thrown ender pearls now load the chunks around them (a 3x3 chunk area), so a pearl always lands, even across dimensions. A pearl in flight unloads when its thrower logs out and comes back when they log in. Pearls still teleport you for 5 HP of damage with a 1-second cooldown.
What else changed in 1.21.2?
- Dolphins, squid and glow squid got baby versions, and salmon now come in small and large sizes, matching Bedrock Edition.
- Two new banner patterns, field masoned and bordure indented, also for Bedrock parity.
- Sneaking on a slime block now cancels fall damage.
- Nether portal cooldown for minecarts and boats dropped from 15 seconds to 0.5 seconds.
- Splash potions thrown at your feet now last almost as long as hits to the head.
- A "Reduce FPS when" video setting, and a new death message for mace smash attacks.
Can you use 1.21.2 on ArtemisPvP?
