The Bedrock Editor: Minecraft's World Editing Tool
The Bedrock Editor is an official world-editing tool for Minecraft Bedrock on Windows. Open it from the Creator Tools tab in the Minecraft Launcher. You build in projects instead of worlds, with tools for selecting, filling and copying areas, and it can be extended with scripts. Worlds made in an Editor project cannot earn achievements.
How do you open the Bedrock Editor?
In the Minecraft Launcher, go to the Bedrock Edition section and open Creator Tools, then launch the Editor. It uses the same app as Minecraft and Minecraft Preview in an Editor mode, and a desktop shortcut can open it directly. Launcher: the Minecraft launcher.
What is a project?

What can the Editor do?
- Select areas and fill, clear or copy them, like the fill and clone commands but with a mouse; see /fill and /clone.
- Show camera and selection coordinates, block IDs and biome IDs in a status bar.
- Move a gizmo to place and resize selections.
- Run extensions written with the scripting API.
Who is it for?
Map makers, Marketplace creators and builders who want faster tools than commands. It is Windows-only. Java players use mods such as WorldEdit instead; see mods. Bedrock creator content: add-ons and Marketplace.
