Arrows, Tipped Arrows and Spectral Arrows
Craft arrows from flint, a stick and a feather (4 at a time). Surround a lingering potion with arrows to make tipped arrows that give the potion's effect for 1/8 of its normal time. Spectral arrows, crafted with glowstone dust (Java only), make the target glow through walls for 10 seconds.
How do you make each kind of arrow?

Spectral arrows also come from piglin bartering (about an 8.53% chance, 6-12 arrows), and on Java fletcher villagers can gift tipped arrows to a player with Hero of the Village. On Bedrock you can also tip arrows by using them on a cauldron of potion. See lingering potions and piglin bartering.
How do tipped arrows work?
A tipped arrow deals normal arrow damage plus the potion's effect, lasting 1/8 as long as the drinkable potion; the arrow's speed does not change that. After 30 seconds stuck in the ground, a tipped arrow turns into a regular arrow. See status effects.
What does a spectral arrow do?
It gives the target Glowing for 10 seconds: an outline you can see through blocks, white unless the target is on a team.
When can you pick arrows back up?
- Arrows shot by mobs (skeletons, strays, pillagers, piglins and so on) can never be picked up.
- The two extra arrows from a Multishot crossbow cannot be picked up.
- Arrows stuck in a player are lost when they die.
- Unlike normal arrows, tipped and spectral arrows shot from an Infinity bow can be picked up.
