What devices run Minecraft Education?
Windows, macOS, iPad and iPhone, ChromeOS and Android. It first came out on Windows and macOS in November 2016.
Can Minecraft Education join normal Bedrock servers?
No. Minecraft Education is its own version and plays only with other Minecraft Education players. It has its own dedicated server software.
What is Code Builder in Minecraft Education?
Code Builder is a coding window where students write code that the Agent, a small robot, carries out in the world.
What is the Agent in Minecraft Education?
The Agent is a robot helper that follows code written in Code Builder, such as building or mining, to teach programming.
What is the chemistry set in Minecraft Education?
Chemistry items such as ice bombs, underwater TNT and underwater torches are made with the chemistry set, found in the Creative menu.
What are border blocks in Minecraft Education?
Border blocks stop players from entering or leaving an area, from top to bottom of the world. Ender pearls and chorus fruit can get past them.
What are allow and deny blocks?
Allow and deny blocks mark areas where students can or cannot build, set by the teacher or a World Builder.
What is Classroom Mode?
Classroom Mode is a companion app that shows teachers a map of the world and every student, lets them chat and change some settings.
What are NPCs in Minecraft Education?
Teachers can place non-player characters that give instructions or links to students in the world.
What is the /ability command?
In Minecraft Education, /ability gives or removes player permissions, such as World Builder, flying (MayFly) or mute.
