How do you get a cape in Minecraft?
Apart from the Pan Cape, public capes only come from limited-time promotions such as social media campaigns, event servers and in-person events. Once a promotion ends, its cape can't be obtained anymore.

Official capes are not sold. They only come from promotions and events. Because they are exclusive, accounts with rare capes are common targets for hacking and scams, so never buy an account or share your login.

Is Herobrine real?
No. Herobrine has never existed in any official version of Minecraft, and there is no code in the game for him. He started as a community creepypasta in 2010. Any Herobrine you see comes from a mod, or from another player in a costume.
Notch's auto-reply to emails about him said Herobrine "does not, and never has been part of Minecraft". A Beta 1.7 changelog Notch posted ended with the words "Removed Herobrine".

Where did the Herobrine story come from?
On July 31, 2010, a Minecraft Forum user posted a story about an entity with glowing white eyes. By August 2010 the story had changed into "Herobrine", said to be Notch's dead brother. In reality, Notch has never had a brother.

What are the eerie noises in Minecraft caves?
They are cave ambience, called eerie noises in the subtitles. They play now and then when you are underground or in a dark spot, decided by the game's mood system. They are a normal sound, not a mob or a secret.
They play in the Overworld and the End, but not in the Nether.
