Minecraft Bedrock command questions, answered
Bedrock commands often look different from Java. These are working Bedrock forms of the commands people use most. Cheats must be on.
How do you give items on Bedrock?
Type /give @s diamond 64. The parts are: who gets it, the item name, then the amount.

How do you give effects on Bedrock?
Type /effect @s speed 60 1: target, effect, seconds, then amplifier (1 = level II). Use infinite instead of seconds for an effect that never ends.

How do you clear effects on Bedrock?
Type /effect @s clear to remove every effect, or add an effect name to remove just that one.

How do you give XP levels on Bedrock?
Type /xp 30L @s for 30 levels. Without the L, the number is experience points.

How do you change game mode on Bedrock with a command?
Type /gamemode creative (or survival, adventure, spectator). Bedrock also accepts numbers and short forms, such as /gamemode c.

How do you enchant with a command on Bedrock?
Hold the item and type /enchant @s sharpness 5. The level cannot go above the enchantment's normal maximum.

Type /tp @s 100 64 200 for coordinates, or /tp @s PlayerName to go to a player. ~ means your current position.

Type /locate structure village. For biomes, use /locate biome followed by the biome name.

Use /tickingarea add with two corners, or a circle, to keep an area running when no player is nearby.

How do you fill an area with blocks on Bedrock?
Type /fill x1 y1 z1 x2 y2 z2 stone. Add replace and a block name to swap only that block.

What target selectors does Bedrock have?
@p nearest player, @a all players, @r random player, @s yourself, @e all entities, @n nearest entity (1.21.100+) and @initiator for NPC dialogue.
How do you get a command block on Bedrock?
Type /give @s command_block with cheats on. You need Creative mode to place and edit it, and the commandBlocksEnabled game rule must be on (it is by default).

Do command blocks disable achievements on Bedrock?
Using commands needs cheats, and turning cheats on disables achievements for that world for good.
